Why do you do what you do

Tuesday, June 14, 2016   |   Personal
In an attempt to keep my work as authentic and meaningful as possible for both myself and those who view it or would like me to create something for them, I have been really thinking about why do I do what I do.

So one of the biggest reasons that drives my motivation for creating photographic pieces is the linking of connections, relationships, and moments that count for people. Part of me has been seeking a more fine art look to my work, and that is fulfilling a whole other part of me. But the essence of the images below was to capture something magical that tells these people of this moment in time for them.

These images are also really meaningful for me as they are of my sister and her family. She and Matt got married last Friday - CONGRATULATIONS!! I took these images in April when I saw them in England. Baby Jack is their new baby born the day Finn went to Spain. The other two munchkins are Freddie and Eva, from her first marriage. Matt is fantastic with them all - and for him they are all his kids. So I really wanted to make sure the images told that story - they are all one big family. Excited for the future, loving the now and just being who they are. I put together an album for them as a wedding gift - celebrating their new beginning. The first image was also a gift - a big size print for their new home. The combination of one special piece of wall art combined with an album of images from your session is one of my most popular product choices. So if you are interested in something like this for your family this summer, give me a call or drop me an email!
